The Best Staff
There are three distinct reasons why we believe Camp Champions hires and trains the best staff:
- They commit to spending the summer alcohol-free
- We give them the longest training of any camp we know of
- They have finished at least a year of college
In today’s world, it matters who your child’s role models are.
Children learn from the adults around them, so we place a huge emphasis on being exceptional role models for our campers. Camp Champions counselors are held to very high standards. For example, our staff agrees to abstain from drinking alcohol for the entire time they are with us – even on their days off. We’re not aware of any other camps in Texas that go to this length to be sure staff are at their best for your campers.
Camp Champions training is second to none.
We have the longest staff training we’re aware of, during which our counselors are extensively trained on best practices for working with children. While many camps have a 5-7 day staff training, we put on a full two-week mock camp session so our counselors are camp veterans before the first camper arrives.
Each year, we spend five months recruiting the best counselors from around the world.
We visit college campuses and travel internationally to meet applicants. Unless they have graduated from our High School Leadership Program, our counselors must have completed at least a year of college. This makes our staff, on average, about a year older and more mature than that of other camps.
