Chile remains beautiful, the internet continues to crawl.  I leave this picture for you (taken from the restaurant of our hotel) with a promise of updates to come.
Â
Before I leave, I will share this.  Everywhere I have ever lived, people say “if you don’t like the weather here, just wait a few minutes and it will change.”  OK, perhaps that do not say that in San Diego, but virtually everywhere else.
Â
They do not say that here.  Instead, they share a much more ominous and descriptive promise/threat: “Here, you can experience all 4 seasons in a day.”
Â
This sounded silly to me until I felt the temperature vary by over 20 degrees three times in a day. Â We were rained on one hour and putting on extra suncreeen another. Â The wind here is especially impressive. Â As we stay in our cabin, we are fairly sure that the Big Bad Wolf is a-huffing and a-puffing and we are living in the house of twigs. Â Each of us has been knocked off balance by the breeze.
While other places will certaily attempt to lay claim to capricious weather, Chilean Patagonia has my vote.

PS Â The photo I include is from the place where we are staying. Â 30 minutes earleir, the entire mountain range was so engulfed in clouds that every peak was invisible. Â
