AND NOW, SOME MORE OF OUR FAVORITE TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR BELOVED PARENTS:
“I love that my 2 boys spend 3 weeks in the same place and have completely individualized experiences. I love that they come home with stories and huge smiles and can’t wait to go back. I know that Steve Sir and Susie Ma’am are incredible people with huge hearts and their love spreads across the entire campus and into the hearts of the counselors and staff. I love that counselors are teaching my kids and my kids are listening, without electronic distractions, in an environment of love, encouragement and support. And I love the way my heart flutters at drop off when I step onto the Camp Champions campus knowing that great things are going to happen over the next 3 weeks.”

“It’s not just a place for my daughter to do “fun stuff.” More importantly, it’s a place for her to become more independent, make new friends, learn and practice social skills, stretch her boundaries, etc. Simply put…camp helps her become a better person. I love it!”
Parent, Lewisville
“I wanted to let you know that our 8 year old is a first time camper this summer. I initially had strong reservations about it. But after dropping her off, meeting her awesome counselors and seeing her cabin, I was thoroughly impressed and I left feeling relieved and confident in her ability to succeed and extremely impressed with the entire process. I just wanted to commend you, your family and this incredible camp and the outstanding job they do.”

“I cannot express how impressed we were with Camp Champions. Our son came home a more confident, happy child who even made the 4 hour car ride home excitedly talking about his experience and not asking for his iPad even once. Never been done before!”
Parent, Dallas
“We love the smiling faces and positive attitudes! My kids attend Double 4… the counselors and staff have got to be dead tired and sweating bullets by August, but you wouldn’t know it because they still seem excited to be there and put on a great term.”
Parent, Midland
“I love that my daughters, who are very different people, each find something to love about camp. One loves the constant rush of people, singing, dancing, etc. The other loves the independence gained each year and the physical challenge. I love that it makes the more confident and compassionate individuals and teaches them what it means to be a part of a group. Sleeping in a cabin with 12 kids is not easy, but what better way to prepare for college dorm rooms!”
Parent, Dallas
“This was my son’s first year at Camp Champions and he absolutely LOVED everything about it. He is super active, so his favorites were the water toys. He really liked his counselors. I SO appreciated the call from the counselor the first week in. My son had never been away for two weeks and he went to camp not knowing anyone, so hearing from the counselor that he was having a great time made me feel so much better! I am super impressed with the involvement of the directors – they are obviously not sitting in the office all day, but a real part of the camp atmosphere. I can tell that my son learned some great lessons at camp and he enjoyed the activities at night, talks from Steve Sir, etc.”

“Although we haven’t met yet, I must commend you on your communication with parents, your amazing attitudes and exemplary moral. As long as our first-time camper says he wants to return, we will be back as I can’t imagine a camp with higher standards than yours.”
Parent, Houston
“Having been a counselor at Champions 25 years ago, I know that the owners and directors of this camp, then and now, have the highest expectations of their employees and truly feel that they are family.”
Parent and former counselor, Austin
“I truly believe that Camp Champions has been a great partner in parenting and helping our daughter develop into a confident, responsible young woman. She utilizes skills she has learned at camp all year long. She has become a great friend and leader in her peer group, and understands how making good choices makes her feel proud of herself. Thank you so much for all that you do. I wish all children could have the camp experience that our daughter has had!”
Parent, Austin
“I like that my children love to be there. I love the way the kids interact with each other and truly care for one another. One day, a parent teased my son about his fluorescent tank top and he responded with “This is a camp shirt. We don’t judge at camp!” What an amazing and happy environment to be in!”

“Camp Champions focused on my child’s strengths and the counselors really worked hard to pull her out of her shell. She learned new things about herself and her capabilities that she never knew about before camp. She ventured out of her comfort zone and learned more about who she is and where she wants to be.”
Parent, Round Rock
“The daily posting of pictures and the newsletters on the parent website were wonderful. This was our first year experiencing camp, and as a parent I had a difficult time adjusting to not being able to talk to my son. Being able to “stay in touch” by reading and seeing pictures as well as sending notes to him made this process so much easier. Seeing how much fun he was having, as well as all the other campers, made me realize what a wonderful opportunity we had been given as a family.”
Parent, Dallas
“I like the way it teaches independence (for the camper) and acceptance for other campers: respect for others even if they’re not your usual “type.” I feel like it’s a huge break from the strange peer pressure and superficial judgments that kids feel during the rest of the year. Your camp culture has reinforced good values in a way a parent can’t always. We try, but we get drowned out by the media, by peer pressure. So thank you.”
Parent, Austin
“Thank you for being partners in the parenting process. I have had several people that have been introduced to my daughter for the first time (she is 9) saying how mature and self-confident she is. I say, “Thank you, have you heard of Camp Champions?” We love the wonderful counselors acting as solid role models and the positive friendships that our daughter is making. I am sure there is something that could continue to improve, but nothing is coming to mind.”
Parent, Frisco
“We like the “4 Rs” and enjoy seeing our daughter carry those traits from camp into the school year and her extracurricular activities. Our daughter loves camp and we are so pleased we found Camp Champions. We routinely tell other parents that it is the best money we have ever spent on our child.”
Parent, San Antonio
“What I LOVE about Camp Champions is our children are engaged in living out the 4 R’s in a nurturing environment. As parents, we don’t necessarily see things through our children’s eyes, and don’t always let them take ownership. Camp allows our children to take ownership. This is clearly apparent during the Senior Camper Program. The fact each Senior Camper reflects from the inside out to complete a personal mission statement places them on the path to maturity, and commits them to living out the principles in their mission statement.”
Parent, Houston
“After camp our child arrives home more confident in herself. This summer she also came home with a greater sense of how her actions impact the world around her including the greater world and those individuals in her immediate contact. The ability to show gratitude is also something new that she brought home from camp this summer. I can’t think of anything this camp could be doing better.”
Parent, Houston
“Overall Camp Champions was a great experience. I was impressed with the passion and dedication of the staff starting at the top all the way through all the counselors. Getting feedback after the first week from his counselor was fantastic. The report at the end was a great touch as well. I was impressed by the info on the website, the feedback from the counselors, and our kid had a good time. So honestly, I’m struggling a little on what could be improved.”
Parent, Austin
“My favorite things about Camp Champions are the autonomy my children develop, the fact that all electronics are put away for 3 weeks, and the social maturity that occurs in such a short period of time!”
Parent, Austin
“You have a remarkable program, and constantly show your devotion to the experiences that you offer. This is why we come back yearly! The variety of activities and the leadership of all involved are great. You really worked with us to make our son’s experience positive!”
